RECOMMENDED for archaeologists of authentic sound art

20 years is a significant period of time not only for the festival, but also for a person. During the time that the international arts festival “Plartforma” has been around, a whole new generation of creators has grown up. Today, the festival invites you to get to know their voices, creative directions and sound experiments.

The concert will feature Aistis Bielkauskas – a graduate of the Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatory, currently studying at the Faculty of Arts of Vytautas Magnus University. Having started creating music in childhood, he has presented his work at the festival “Mėnuo Juodaragis” and has collaborated with the History Museum of Lithuania Minor to create a virtual educational game “Klaipėda. 1923”. Aistis’s music is characterized by an alternative approach and experimental sound.

The evening program will also be enriched by Jokūbas Sarulis. Having graduated from Klaipėda Vydūnas Gymnasium, he is currently continuing his studies in the acting mastery program of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Jokūbas will read verses from Marcelijus Martinaitis's “Kukutis Ballads” and share his latest creative quests.

Urtė Krutkevičiūtė, a young generation creator, will also appear on stage. Her musical journey began with piano and carillon studies and later expanded into the space of electronic music and artistic reflection. Inspired by minimalist and atmospheric music, Urtė explores the boundaries between academic and contemporary music, between structure and spontaneity, between everyday sounds and their artistic transformation in her works.

Klaipėda Vydūnas Gymnasium Mixed Youth Choir will present music written by young Klaipėda Vydūnas Gymnasium composer Adelė Vozgirdaitė. In 2026, her composition “Disappeared” won 1st place in the national student music competition “My Note”. In 2024, at the International Music Olympiad in Cyprus, A. Vozgirdaitė was awarded a gold medal and special prizes for the best original composition of the 1st category. The leader of the choir is Ingrida Bertulienė, the choirmaster – Vaiva Šaulienė.

The concert will be closed by Liepa Vozgirdaitė, a composer and performer who is participating in the festival's creative residency this year and lives and works in Dresden. She explores experimental sound practices. Her works have been presented at prestigious international stages and festivals: “Elbphilharmonie Hamburg”, “Impuls Festival Graz”, “PAN Music Festival”, “Ung Nordisk Musik Festival”, and also in Lithuania - at the festivals “Jauna muzika”, “Muzikos ruduo”, “Muzika erdvėje”, etc. Liepa's music has been performed by such groups as Decoder Ensemble, MDR-Sinfonieorchester, Apartment House, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Synaesthesis, etc. Liepa is a founder and member of the experimental music ensemble Artisans and part of the artistic duo Opus 58. During the concert, she will present her latest creative pursuits born during the week of the creative residency.

The event will also feature the presentation of a released vinyl vinyl record “Klaipėda” dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the festival, which contains the works recently created at the festival’s creative residencies. The record includes:

- Audrius Šimkūnas – Klaipėda
